Coal, a sedimentary rock composed mainly of carbon, is used to produce electricity or heat through combustion. It currently meets nearly a third of the world’s energy needs and produces approximately 40% of global electricity. Coke, a fuel usually derived from coal is used for smelting iron ore during steel manufacturing.
Turkey being our main destination, we are trading nearly 360,000 tonnes anthracite coal each year which is imported from Russian Federation to the customers all over the world. Our logistics network uses a dedicated fleet of dry bulk vessels operated on time charter.
With such a diverse supply bases in Russia, we can meet a wide range of customer requirements in terms of specific origins and grades of anthracite as 0-6mm, 6-13mm and 25-100mm with variety of carbon, volatile, sulfur, moisture and calorie values.
